This is a wall cabinet I built based on the the project that was featured on Tommy Mac’s show, Rough Cut. Other than it being different dimensions, the only major differences between mine and his is that mine is made of cherry, and the shelf is joined to the rest of the cabinet with sliding dovetails. The main case is joined with through dovetails.  It is hung on the wall with a french cleat (It is in two parts to hopefully allow a bit of wood movement. The finish: a lot of surface prep, then amber shellac and paste wax. I’m still not sure what I’ll put on it, though.
