Galaxies Collide

This is my side table that is carved to represent the merging of two galaxies. The Andromeda and Milky Way Galaxies will collide in about 4 Billion years, so this is after one collision and the spiral arms are merging. It is carved Walnut, with two drawers on the front. The drawer insides are maple, and the outside is inlaid with silver and cut cubic zirconia to represent stars and planets in space. It is supported by a patina’d steel base.
