Small Bench for Tablesaw
I built this bench to fit between the rails of my Tablesaw. I used wood from three 8′ pallets for the majority of the frame and finished the skirt and one strecher with maple. The joinery is mortise and tenon, 7″ vise, laminated tabletop from top to bottom 3/4″ shop grade birch plywood, 1″ pallet wood, 3/8″ baltic birch plywood. Due to the small footprint though it rocks if you put any weight into planing so I put a lag bolt through the back rail and a spacer between the front rail and tabletop. I’m hoping if I put a cabinet with drawers in the frame it will add some weight. The tabletop also acts as a wing extension. Vise $90, maple $30, hardware $10, total cost $130.
