Thomas Molesworth inspired magazine rack (cowboy funiture)

This magazine rack was inspired by the work of Thomas Molesworth and his Shoshone Furniture company with his Cowboy inspired designs. There is extensive use of relief carving and the use of wildlife for the subjects. I chose birch logs for the base where as he would have used native fir. His company was founded in Cody WY in 1931. A great book on this American Craftsman is Molesworth The Pioneer of Western Design by Terry Winchell
