Top Recipes to Prepare for Your Girlfriend
The famous American actor and model got it spot on! However, it is not only about taking your girlfriend to a posh restaurant. When it comes to impressing her with foods, nothing works better than a home-cooked meal. No matter what you cook, it just shows that you are ready to walk the extra mile for her.
So, if you are planning to do something special in her next birthday or in the next Valentine’s Day, consider trying your hands in cooking. Even if you mess up a simple recipe, you will get a chance to laugh about it together. Getting the required ingredients and cooking utensils should not be a problem. Nowadays, you can easily get a crockery set or a food processor online.
What to Cook to Impress Her
If you are new to cooking, it would be a good idea to try a recipe that requires minimal ingredients and involve some simple steps. It is better, if you already know her favourite meals. If not, you can still go ahead and try the following easy-to-make Indian recipes. Remember that it is not just the food, but the thought that counts.
· Aloo Poha – Whether your girlfriend is vegetarian or not, you will never go wrong with Aloo Poha. Get two cups of beaten rice (Poha), and then wash it with water. Add salt and turmeric powder to the soaked Poha. Now use a multi-chopper to chop 4-5 green chillies, some coriander leaves, and 1-2 onions. Then cut some potatoes (Aloo) in small pieces. The next step is to heat up oil in a frying pan, and then pour chana dal, mustard seeds, urad dal in the pan. After that, add some curry leaves and fry for some time. Finally, add the chopped chillies, onions, and potatoes, and cook for around 5 minutes. After that, pour the soaked poha and some coriander leaves and cook for another 5 minutes. The Aloo Poha is now ready to serve.
· Sweet Lassi – If you are looking for a recipe that is easier and less time consuming to prepare, you can try Sweet Lassi. The whole process of making Sweet Lassi would take you around 5 minutes. Ingredients required for making Lassi include two cups of plain yogurt, two cups of cold water, four teaspoonfuls of sugar, one cup of ice cubes and Celtic sea salt. Just pour all ingredients in a big container and stir the whole content until it blends well. You can consider using a blender or food processor that allows you to blend and churn more conveniently. Finally, pour the blended Lassi into glasses and serve.
· Boondi Raita – This is another very interesting yet easy-to-make Indian recipe. The ingredients required for making Boondi Raita include two cups of yogurt, 100 grams of fried gram flour, pepper, Celtic Sea Salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, and chopped coriander leaves. At first, soak the tiny fried gram flour balls (boondi) in warm water. In another container, add spices, such as, pepper, Celtic Sea Salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, and cumin powder, to the yogurt and stir it well. Now add the soaked gram flour balls to the spiced yogurt and the preparation is ready. You can add some chopped coriander leaves in it for a better taste. You can also consider making cucumber raita or onion-tomato raita in the similar way. The only difference is that you would need to add diced cucumber and chopped onion and tomato, respectively, for the next two recipes.
Once you enhance your cooking skills, you can try more complicated dishes like Shahi Paneer, Rajma Chawal, Egg Pakora, and many more. One good idea would be to get a food processor online. Choose one that allows you to do whipping, blending, pureeing, chopping, and shredding, so that you can try different recipes for yourself and your girlfriend.Also, remember that women like a plate of food that not only tastes good, but also looks good.
