library book case
Cherry book case with black beading and glass doors. All joinery pocket holes. Frame and panel construction. Shop made molding. Key challange was how to join very tall (56 inch), 3/4 inch thick doors and have enough room for glass (1/8 inch thick) and door molding (5/8 inch thick). Stub tennon was rejected. Not enough thickness. Pocket holes seemed the best solution (see above picture of door). Glass is one piece, held in place with clips. After over two years of use, no warpage or sagging.
