The Ellipsoid Table was created with the idea of taking a traditionally-designed piece and breaking it down into its basic geometry through a series of intersecting, regular geometric forms, including cylinders, planes, cones, and, yes, an ellipsoid. The piece was constructed of walnut, maple, bubinga veneer, ebony, oak, and brass.
