Over the past 5 years, we are fortunate to have become known for our work with live edge slabs. We have built over 30 dining tables, as well as numerous other live edge furniture pieces .. headboards, desks, coffee tables, etc. Here’s a link to an online slide show with over a hundred images you can click through at high speed.  Most images have links to our corresponding blog posts in the caption as do the photos posted here. The possibilities are endless, and each slab presents its own challenges. Some have cracks and other defects that need to be addressed; some clients like that and just want them ‘as is’, and sometimes we do a combination of the two approaches, fill some and leave some. Having my older son working in his custom metal shop right next door is a HUGE help, and these collaborations are really fun. We often get requests for ‘only the base’, which we certailnly don’t mind doing. I have written a blog post that suggests different base options and provides some pricing guidelines.
