Center Island Foldable Butcher Block

Saw this in a shopping catalog and figured I could do it. It is basically 2 mortise/tenon sides joined by hinged support arms and piano hinged shelving boards pinned using vinyl peg pins used on bi-fold doors. Base is white oak stained and the top is select maple with 2 cherry accent boards. The tops of the legs recess and nest into the bottom of the butcher block to maintain stability.
