This is a project that started off as a small display case. (The person thought it would be about a 2’x1’x6″). As you could possibly tell my imagination went on overdrive.
This was milled from 2 pieces of oak. (It was supposed to be one, but there was a significant amount of waste due to checking).
Glass panels and mirror were cut by Mineola Glass.
The spotlights are L.E.D.s in a four light bar.
Finish is multiple coats of tung oil.

This was just after I had let the oak rest after milling it down from a single block. Unfortunately much had to be discarded due to checking. We theorized that the oak had been under tension as it grew.

Installed, used a 200lb support bar in back. Made sure I screwed into the studs as well. Came in at 43lbs.
