My First Classic Workbench
I waited to build this bench when I was confident with my woodworking capabilities. I honestly should have built a easier way before this one, but I really knew what kind I wanted and just waited. I used plans from my local woodworking shop in sumner. Its made from rock hard maple and truly is the center of my shop now.

It is beautiful. I am hoping to build one this spring and summer. Barn burned, have new 12 X 36 shop. I have a lot of Sugar Maple to use so can build one up to 96 in long. What are the problems one runs into when building it? After building a massive table 96 long in my shop I find it's too tall but can cut the legs off. I used 4 X4 legs and a piece of 3/4 beec Plywood for the top. Makes a great table but I finished it with spar varnish and it's too slick. Would use a 2/3 mineral oil to 1/3 beeswax next time.
