Diaper Changing Pad Tray
Not satisfied with what you get for a 100 dollar bill from a chain store I set out to make my own changing pad tray. It is made from 3/4 walnut. I rabbited and front, dadoed the divider into place and glued screwed and plugged everything to securley attach it together, even the top routed trim piece. I added a compartment on the back side that houses diapers hand sanitizer and other things that need quick reach. The back side hangs down the back of the dresser by an inch to prevent it from sliding around when the dresser is pushed up againt the wall. I staind it with minwax Ebony stain to get a decent color match to the dressser it sits on and the crib in the room. After mulling over a finish (since this would surely be peed on) I shot it with a few coats of Deft satin finish and wiped some Pledge on it. there is no bottom on this as it sits on a dresser so I just added some felt pads to prevent it from scratching.

Great job! This looks really neat and professional with the sleek colours and tones you have selected. I think I could do up a similar project but I need more of a storage compartment for my dresser to store the knick knacks lying around aimlessly. I think it can also be transformed into many other solutions if you really get down and creative enough.
I think this idea is very practical and something new that we seldom get to see ready-made at stores. I guess with some creativity to think out of the box, you can create many solutions to problems you face around the house. You can settle your storage needs or that little work space you might need.
