This is a small Pedestal Table built of Black Cherry. The top features veneer work of Black Cherry and Mahogany over a lumber core. The turned column accepts 3 “queen anne-ish” legs via sliding stopped dovetails. I tend to use 3 legs on pedestals to avoid any rocking issues that may have to be addressed with 4. The finish is an NGR stain with a sanding sealer applied over that. The build up of finish is 4 coats of a homemade shaker finish (sprayed), with 5 subsequent coats hand-rubbed clear Antiquax for depth and lustre. A simple yet fun little project. Looks great beside my favourite arm chair!
