This is a pair of boxes made as an anniversary gift. The boxes are built from a resawn cherry board. The box sides and tops were cut so each face of one box is bookmatched to the corresponding face of the other box. These are truly a matched set, as is the couple to whom they were presented.

A Prairie School style is reflected in the proportions of the boxes, in the legs, and in the tray handles. The legs and tray handles are walnut. The stopped brass hinges are by Brusso. The drawer linings are brown suede cloth. Oil finish.

Each box is 11″ long, 5.5″ high, and 7″ deep.
