Card Press

I made this prototype card press from maple several years ago. Often associated with the game of faro, the card press was used to keep playing cards flat and to squeeze absorbed moisture from them. I made the screw with a screw box and found it taxing to do without tear out. I planned to make a card press from walnut and hope I eventually get around to it.
