Claro Walnut Coffee Table
Woodworker: Scott Borski
The simple form of Borski’s claro walnut coffee table (37 in. deep by 77 in. wide by 16 in. high) was inspired by the curved edges of a log harvested from a Sonoma County ranch. the center void left by the book-matched slab top is filled with a piece of polished, pitted steel. “I wanted the most corroded piece I could find. Once polished, it perfectly mimicked rippling water.”
