Shaker Side Table in Curly Maple

This piece (18 in. deep by 28 in. wide by 27 in. high) is based on a Shaker table at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and built from a single board of curly maple. To enhance the extreme figure, Griffith used aniline dye followed by a few coats of a mixture of tung oil, boiled linseed oil, and urethane. The secondary wood is poplar
