Make an Easy Garden Bench
After I decided to make a diy wooden bench, I thought that I should keep it attractive and comfortable but still make it simply. I wanted an angled back so that the seating would not be straight-backed this comfortable. The wooden bench plans would need to include a small shelf on the back of the bench that could hold my drinks. The idea of a built-in ice bucket to hold wine seemed to be a bit superfluous.
For an outdoor gardener this bench seemed to be a very easy project since there are not any joints. Decking screws can hold the whole thing together. Although it’s unsophisticated and plain it is an easy, and quick build. It is easier than putting together an IKEA closet. This bench could be built by a child.
The proportions are attractive, the bench seat is deep, and the angle of the back is just right. This bench works like a charm and if it were a woman it would be a farmer’s daughter who was named Daisy.
This could be either a two-seater bench 120-centimeters wide or a three seater bench that would be 149 cm wide. The measurements for both benches are included.
Tools
You will need a circular saw and he would blade. (It does not have to be real fine, but it’s all right if it is).
Also you will need a hand saw for cutting wood.
For the drill you will need to to bits one for turning screws and one for drilling holes. A 4 mm drill bit can be used.
A Phillips screwdriver, a pencil, ruler, and paint brushes should fulfill your tools needs.
Hardware
5 mm x 5.5 cm deck screws.
4 mm x 4 cm screws for the seat.
Three hinges.
Wood
The width of the slats and the thickness of the wood can be dictated by your wood source. You should be able to easily get the word from a hardware store or lumberyard. If you’re in the mathematics you can figure out how to all the plans so you can use would that is easy to purchase where you live. Cheap pine was available for my use.
The size of your yard could be considered in changing the length of your two-seater bench and you could easily make it a bit shorter or longer. I chose a three seater length since the wood that I used happened to come in 3 m long sizes.
The hardware store it all the cuts for me, except the diagonal cut of the back legs.
All the wood that I listed is measured in centimeters.
The depth of my finished bench is 65 cm.
