Craftsman Crib 2.0
This crib is an improvement on the original design. I used the same bed rail hardware, annd through-tenon construction for the front and rear assemblies. The mattress support hangs from threaded inserts positioned at three levels in each corner leg, making the mattress adjustable.

I really like this crib. I built a few baby cribs for my grandchildren, so I know the work and the details involved. The Arts and Crafts motif here is perfect.
Best wishes to those who will use this crib.
Great job!
Very nice looking crib. Wondering if you can provide rough dimensions? L, W, H? and rough sized for posts and slats. Thanks!
Where can we find drawings/dimensions and materials, our Youngest Daughter just let us know she is 12 weeks along with their first child and we would like to build a crib for our house and possibly theirs as well. bogie
Similar to the previous comments, do you have rough dimensions or drawings available for this? I would like to make this for my first born!
I'm making a crib too for my nephew's son-to-be. I simply used the standard crib mattress size as a starting point: 52"L x 28"W x 6"D. Add 1/2" on all four sides for the thickness of the bedding, and you have the inside dimensions. Obviously, the outside dimensions depend on the thickness of the materials you will build the frame with. I used 2-1/2" posts and stretchers, and 1-1/2" rails with 3/4" spindles.
Good Luck!
Here is my version of the crib. Thanks for the inspiration and for the tips. I salvaged the mattress hanging hardware from a used crib. Mortising for the bed rail hardware was the biggest challenge, but I shimmed them with thin cardstock to get tight fits.
Anyway of getting these plans? Also, where did you buy the metal base?
