Full-size plans for this are available at Finewoodworking.com/PlanStore. I just retired. Remembering building this lowboy back in 2009, I wanted to build another. I had to order the back issue of FW#201 as mine was gone. I purchased enough African Mahogany to build two of them. Of course the half-blind dovetails on the drawer fronts are a good challenge also.

I built this lowboy in 2009. The article in FW was very detailed. I enjoyed the build so much I made a second one using Northern Pine. (first one was Mahogany) If you haven't tried cabriole legs, you might like to try them. Challenging & rewarding.
After turning only the foot on the lathe, it goes to the bandsaw for roughing in. THen I clamp it back into the lathe to hold it while I profile the cabriole.
The entire case is mortise-and-tenoned. Except the top which is screwed on.
