Limbert style dining table (Thanks Gregory Paolini for the article in FWW)
When I saw Mr Paolini’s interpretation of the Limbert Coffee table, I was able to finally decide on the design for my dining table which, until that time, had eluded me.
This table comfortably seats six, and has been pressed to seat eight in the recent past. Table top is 65.6″ diameter, made from Black Cherry.

Very nice. I really love the base.
The table and chairs are terrific.
Great work!
Thanks for the comments.
I'm curious... after listening to Matt K and Mike P comment on choice of wood for certain style of furniture, any comments on my use of Black Cherry instead of quartered white oak for this table?
Far be it from me to question Matt and Mike, but in my estimation the black cherry is an excellent choice here. It lends an elegance to the dining set that white oak cannot match -- and I love white oak.
Excellent work and a first rate choice of materials.
All the best...
