This is a murphy bed that I built using the Create-a-bed Deluxe hardware. I substituted the face with some mitered raised panels.
I also added raised panels on the sides (verticals). Since the mechanism will not mount to the weaker raised panels, I doubled up the thickness of the verticals and used plywood on the inside.
You can notice in the open position, I put some fabric on a panel and covered the entire inside wall.
The finish is a Medium sheen Black Lacquer.
