Dust collection, chop saw
This is for Greg (Meddis) (sp) I also was having problems with dust collection on my sliding chop saw and came up with this solution. Not fool proof, but a great deal more efficient than a single collection point. The scoops (one below the carriage, and one behind the unit) are called “big gulp”, and I originally got them from Penn Industries. They have a 4″ dust collection port, connected to my central cyclone unit. The setup, which is admittedly lacking for angle cuts, makes a big difference in my shop, as 90% of my cuts on this saw are at 90 degrees. Hope this helps
