Charging Station Box
My charging station box eliminates the clutter from all the charging cables when charging mobile devices. A 6 outlet plug strip is hidden behind a door in the back of the box. There are two grommets from the plug strip to the area below the lid. When the top is lifted there is plenty of room for multiple devices and a tablet. The two drawers have space for keepsakes and jewelry.
The box is made of walnut, spalted maple, and an ebony inlay. The inside of the lid area and drawers is covered with felt to protect valuables. The wild walnut grain pattern for the two drawer fronts and the front side are matched and from one piece of wood. The drawer handles are hand made of ebony.
It is finished, sliky smooth, with two coats of shellac and five coats of wipe-on polyurethane.
The box is about 15″W x 13″D x 6″H.

Very nice. Another project on the list!
Simple and functional Ron, very well done. I especially like the lines that the legs add to the piece.
