Dining Set

I wanted to make a dining set that was comfortable in a wide range of settings, from contemporary to rustic. I like designs that are clean and simple, even minimal. In creating anew a classic chair and table I stayed true to the techniques I learned at College of the Redwoods, hand made tenons, hand carved seats. I wanted to use a local wood, light in color; alder, ash, maybe maple, and I came across this birch at Suburban Forestry.

A really nice dining table set. The choice of birch results in a clean, warm and inviting appearance that really suits this design.
