Barnwood cabinet

Old Maine barns were the inspiration for this piece. Not just the barns themselves but what happens to them after years of neglect. I chose to use twigs from the small trees that grow up around them and highlight the deeply weathered lichen covered boards for the door and drawer panels. I turned the twigs on end for the door panels to show off the variety of colors. Also I found several shotgun bbs in the door panel and buckshot embedded in the board used for the top! Lots of storage in this piece and a secret drawer in the toe kick.
