Main bowl is Yellow Box Burl from Mudgee in Sydney Australia carved as always with the trusty Industrial Arbortech Pro. Coated in 3 coats of Danish Oil and back to 1200 grit, with some layers of EEE cutting compound. The resin has been mixed with Blue Metallic In lthe red.
The base became its own project. Made from Camphor Laurel the main stand is a solid piece with 4 large rings dowled into 4 smaller rings. Each ring had to be cut on the pedestal drill with various size holes saws, then carefully mounted to a lathe chuck and sanded back to the 1200 grit. Each circle had to be as close to exact as the previous piece to limit a rocking in the whole project. The aluminium centre rod is hollow and had to be polished on the buffing machine to get the mirror finish. I have not created a fixed position on the bowl and as such it can rotate within the base allowing the user to select the side of the bowl they think looks the nicest.
Hope you like it.

Yellow Box Burl is a really great material. What you have done with it is even better.
