I designed this with simplicity in mind. I was looking for a sturdy, functional build, that would provide a good, solid work surface that was easy to maintain. I also wanted something that would dress up my shop while adding a few badly needed drawers. The top, frame, and vise blocks are solid maple. The drawer fronts are black walnut with maple accents. I turned the drawer pulls from birds eye maple. This was a fun project that was a very nice upgrade from my old budget built bench from decades ago.
