Modern bedside tables

The floating drawer is the design centre of this table and is unique. However, the craftsmen in me cares more about the top carcass which has the wood grain run continuously from one side, over the top, to the other side. This was done with long miter joints cuts with hand tools.

The final piece reminds me of a cylon from battlestar galatica with four legs.

Wood: reclaimed Honduran mahogany with highly figured walnut for the drawer fronts.
Finish: lacquer
