G&G Inspired Dresser
Items for myself always seem to come last. I’ve done this one in mahogany and in cherry. For myself, I did it in walnut to match a tallboy done back in 2012. Can’t believe it took 4 years to squeeze in time for the lowboy 😉
My own take on the Greene and Greene design elements; cloud lifts, exaggerated finger joints and joinery, pillowed ebony pegs and hand shaped pulls. The top is a floating panel in a frame that is bridle jointed with proud fingers to echo the top and bottom trim corner joints.
All in all a fun build as I did tweak the dimensions a bit from the model I use for others. One of the joys of making something for your own home is being able to modify things to suit your setting. This piece is a bit wider and a bit taller than previous builds to better fit the space where it stands.

That's a wonderful piece Glenn. I love your take on G&G. Lots of detail
Incredible piece. I've been wondering how a G & G piece in walnut would work. It definitely works.
