Chair out of a cherry slab
This is my first attempt at a chair (harp chair excluded). I relied heavily on Jeff Millers book for both design and construction guidance. For a one off chair, I didn’t make all the jigs but I ended making more than I planned. Chairs are hard. The only thing that isn’t from the original cherry is the bent lamination part. After many failures, I used table saw cut ash strips and put cherry veneer on the outside layer during glue up. I glued lamination with Gorilla glue, but I wouldn’t do that next time.
