Southwest style desk
Like many projects, the trickiest part of this build was the drawers. I wanted vertical grain that matched from the bottom drawer face through the top drawer. I glued up two boards to get the width I needed, then crosscut a 1/8″ piece that I used as the top edge veneer of the top drawer. Next, I crosscut a piece the height of the drawer which I resawed to make the front and back veneered faces of the drawer. Then cut another 1/8″ piece for the bottom, another for the top of the next drawer, etc.
Finished with General Finishes Arm R Seal satin.
