White Oak Side Tables
After a recent trip to the Stickley Museum I guess I was inspired to make these tables. Not wanting to reproduce an original, I decided to make these with the added influence of perhaps the cabinet stands of James Krenov.
The white oak I had in the shop. The pieces were a mix of flat and quartered sawn. It is sometimes nice to make do with what is at hand.
I decided not to stain the oak and finished the pieces with an oil-varnish finish.
16 inch square top by 25 inches high.
