Bubinga side cabinet
Initial inspiration came from Craig Thibodeau’s article. I used his method to build the sides, back and bottom panels with shop-sawn maple and cherry veneer. 1 inch thick Ultralite core is veneered on both sides. Panels are held together with dominos and Titebond 3. The top, sides and drawer fronts came from a single piece of bubinga. Doors are veneered with $5 ebay bubinga veneer. Door coores are made from 1 inch Ultralite routed with a circle cutting jig, pieces stacked on top of each other and glued. Drawer frame is made from soft maple, drawers are cherry and bubinga veneered 1/2 inch Ultralite bottoms. Legs are made from Sapele, hardware is from Lee Valley.
