Inspired by the work of James Krenov with a nod toward Asian influences in furniture design, Breyman started this chest-on-stand as many furniture makers do, by finding the perfect wood. “I discovered this highly figured sapele, then set out to design for the best display of the woods.” This piece won the Best Furniture Design award at Design in Wood 2017.

I'd like to know what the finish is as I'm currently making two bedside cabinets from the same wood species. I've done a test piece with wipe-on Minwax which is a bit too dark for me.
