Twin Koi Tool Cabinet
I strongly feel that our workshops should always have a “wow!” piece for clients to see how technical and creative you can be and this fits the bill.
Drawing from the central ideas of several tool cabinets on the internet, I finally decided to build one following Mike Pekovich’s design themes from FW#237 using walnut, birch ply and red oak. Mike’s modular approach was the most valuable take away from the article.
Three months later (and it’s still not fully completed inside) but I’m so glad I took the time to build it because my essential hand tools were in four different places and now they will all fit in here.
One extra feature I have integrated is a low wattage Goldenrod heater to stop my tools rusting from the snow brought into my garage shop by our two cars.
