Woodworking and stress relief
I’ve been lucky enough to have a shop to work in for over forty years. I was even luckier to buy my first sawmill in 1994. I have found that working in the wood shop has kept me grounded for most of my life. Working with vintage hand tools and thinking about the furniture that the previous owner or owners may have built with them. Reclaiming old lumber and giving it new life in a new piece of furniture. Repairing and restoring pieces that would have otherwise been thrown away. Or just sitting in the shop on a winters day reading the latest or old copy of Fine Woodworking. And sometimes turning out project like those in these photo’s. Keep your hands in wood and watch the stress wash away.
