Black Walnut Coffee table
I wanted to keep as much of the character as I could. I also wanted to do pure jointer with zero hardware. The legs are attached to the top with 5 mortise and tenon joints that where hand cut. The stringer/trestle has a slight arch to it while the tenon comes in perpendicular to the legs with 2 keyed tenons to solidify the whole construct. It was a fun build and finished with 5 coats of dewaxed shellac, steel wool and renaissance wax, buffed to a mild sheen.
