A “mother’s” rocker
For some reason, a rocking chair without arms historically is called a mother’s rocker. The arms on a rocking chair are a main source of it’s strength so to build a Sam Maloof styled rocker required a strong joint for the front leg. I used a wedged through tenon to attach the front leg to the seat with an internal shoulder plus the shoulder at the seat bottom.
