Regal Media Cabinet
Constructed from Curly Maple and Crotch Japanese Camphor, with a few accents in Leopard Wood. With the unique figure of the maple, board selection and placement was an important aspect for an even look. Solid stock was resawn and bookmatched to specific locations to create a mirror image look to the entire perimeter. The Camphor was obtained in raw veneer form in a matching set. Because of the sequential match of the Camphor, it allowed for unique patterning by selection and orientation, also in a mirror image pattern. The Leopard wood toned well with the highlights in the Camphor as a top inlay and corner accent. The rising electronics are a nice surprise to unaware admirers.
