Mid Modern Walnut Credenza
This is my first midcentury modern piece and I am happy with the way it turned out. One of the unique features is the herringbone pattern top framed by walnut that then waterfalls down the edges. The drawer fronts are continuous grain with modern handles cut into them. The legs are hand shaped from 8/4 walnut and are brought through the base of the cabinet using through mortise and tenon. The doors are push to open and avoids handles so not to give away that the front is actually four doors- it is made to look like a solid panel. It is finished with Osmo Polyx with the top sealed as described in FWW 262. Thank you for looking!

Congratulations on your beautiful credenza. Walnut is such a wonderful wood. I really love the waterfall effect -- it's quite dramatic!
