Baseball motif end table
I’m a metalworker, not a woodworker, and all I had was a hardware store dovetail saw and a ball peen hammer- and lots of glue.
My first version of this table had a welded stainless steel frame, but on that version too, joining the baseball bats to the flat square surfaces was a real problem.
This version is still unfinished (needs more trim and finishing) but it’s squared up and the joints are tight.
The print laid out on top will be part of the table surface with a green dye and shellac coating on either side.
The Yankee Stadium frieze was laser cut by a puzzle maker. It will be reinstalled on a slightly curved backing strip.
