277- Geometric Cabinet
Givon, who recently moved from Texas to California, made this cabinet as a modern interpretation of the geometric patterns common in Mediterranean architecture. The case is built from a single board with the grain waterfalling across the top and down the sides. The drawers and compartments inside the cabinet are angled to echo the patterns outside. “I love the sense of surprise and joy people have when interacting with the piece, which I only recently discovered when I started showing it,” he said. This piece received the Fine Woodworking Award.
