The inspiration for this end table came from Darrell Peart’s aurora nightstand. It is made from locally sourced air dried walnut. The drawer pull has a recessed area that matches the curves of the rails and is textured inside the resessed area. The actual pull itself is an inlaid piece of maple. The drawer front is walnut and the drawer sides and back are maple. The joinery on the drawer is half blind dovetails with a Matt Kenney inspired spacing.  The walnut was carefully selected so the grain lines matched the curves of the rails in many spots. The rails are joined to the legs with integral mortise and tenon joints.
