Low dresser
The carcass is made from air dried walnut and the front of the drawers is a mystery species of wood. I believe it is spalted sycamore but am unsure. The drawer fronts were cut from one piece and I was able to make a continuous grain pattern flow through the drawers. The drawer sides are constructed from hard maple and uses half blind and through dovetails for joinery. The side panels are book matched pieces of walnut. The handles are made from the off cuts of the carcass, cut out on the band saw, and shaped on the spindle sander.
