Mahogany, Holly, and Ebony Inlay Chest of Drawers
The inspiration for this chest of drawers came from a chest attributed to Martin Pfeninger (1775–1782). The case is mahogany and the drawers are book-matched crotch mahogany veneer over poplar. Strout says the overall design, inlay, and sand shading are the aspects of this piece that gave him the most pleasure.
