Queen Anne Highboy
This Queen Anne Highboy, adapted from a flat-top high chest in Jeffery
Greene’s American Furniture of the 18th Century, took almost 20 years from start to completion. Work obligations, several moves, and a period of time when Griffin’s woodworking tools were in storage—all conspired to delay the project. But Griffin “chipped away at it when I had time,” finally finishing it after he retired. “My son has said this highboy was an antique before it was finished.”
