Gradient Desk
The pecan wood used for this desk played a key role in Stone’s design process. “Unable to book-match the boards, I used the natural variation of the Texas pecan to create a gradient from light to dark, highlighted through the mismatched breadboards and contrasting dowel pins,” he said. The legs also provide contrast, with the redder wood toward the “dark” side of the desk fading to lighter wood on the opposite side.
