Rotating Jewelry Box
This has been a well received project of mine. I have enjoyed revisiting it from time to time, and that is one of the real pleasures of a maker. Seeing something one has made and given away, and that is well used and cherished by the recipient.
The lids are clearly quilted hard maple. The bowl is aromatic cedar. The dividers are African mahogany, as is the foot. The knob is wenge.
The hinge pivots are 1/8″ brass rods bent to the 30 degree angle required.
The trick to putting it together is that is all goes together at once. All the parts of the lids, hinge pins and dividers are cooped together at one go.
The bowl sits on a small lazy susan which is fastened to the foot.
