Reclaimed Wood Coffee Table
Coffee Table made for an auction where proceeds went to help a family member and her kids after her husband’s accidental passing away. Made from reclaimed wood from a torn-down over 100 year old house. Made under an extremely tight deadline. Design and build was two days so the design was kept fairly simple which brought out a different beauty in the piece than I was expecting. Put in some hidden storage and recessed magnets to hold them closed tight. And saved my favorite piece of the reclaimed wood to use as a character piece in the center of the table. And finished it by filling and color matching every screw hole to keep with the simple and clean appearance. There is just something really cool about taking something that was once used to build a house so long ago, save it from going to waste and give it another life as a piece of furniture to be used for hopefully another hundred years. Was a nice change from the usual and it ended up bringing in $550 I believe to help my cousin and her family.
